Gonna sink my teeth in…Oh wait.

It has been 51 days and I still don’t have teeth.

Things I don’t wish to dwell on tumbled my life around for a few weeks, but I have hit the ground and cleared my head of the dirt.

On a more positive note, I knuckled down recently and finally finished my novella, Violet Disaster. It is a mere 17,600 words, but it took me years to write. Like recovery, I wasn’t ready until I was ready.

Violet Disaster is a thriller about a West Virginia rock band I 100% made up and the tragedy that befell every single band member. It was fun to drop bread crumbs in homage to friends and places I haunt.

I plan to publish Violet Disaster by September 1st and sell it for a dollar over Amazon's required cost to cover my efforts. I know this book will make me no money at all, but completing it has given me a new drive. All the support and positive feedback from this story has given me the zeal I needed to finish another one.

My next story, which I hope to be at least 20,000 words, is a haunted house story with a thriller mystery twist to it. It takes place in a Victorian style duplex like the one I lived in when I was in college up north.

Ready to sink my teeth into this one.

Metaphorically.
